Within the derelict mines of Moria, the desperate passage of a fledgling fellowship, along with the incessant cries from a hoard of blood-thirsty orcs, rouse an ancient beast from its age long slumber. Stalking within the shadows of the long-abandoned halls, the foul creature seeks to annihilate this band of trespassers. With flames and fury, none shall escape its wrath.
Perched upon the crumbling ruins of Khazad-dûm, its ferocious awaking rocked the very foundations of the Misty Mountains, alerting all within of the impending doom. The Fellowship can only stagger upon the edge of despair, surrounded by pitch-black chasms and collapsing stones, as they realize what hunts them; a Balrog, a foe beyond any of them.
This Balrog in Moria miniature statue extends the line of miniature Lord of the Rings statues by the famed artists at Weta Workshop. Sculptor Jamie Beswarick helped design many of Middle-earth’s foul creatures for the film trilogy and has spent years with the Balrog, creating the work of beautiful nightmares. Standing at 7.5" tall, the miniature Balrog statue is one of Weta Workshop's Lord of the Rings statues made primarily from polystone. As seen in The Fellowship of the Ring, the Balrog in Moria statue depicts the Balrog perched upon the ruins of Moria.

HAND PAINTED
Please Note: Images are of a pre-production prototype. Each sculpture is hand painted and minor variations will occur.
It takes hundreds of hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new Middle-earth piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment or iconic character, Weta Workshop treats their collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail they bring to their film work.
WETA WORKSHOP
"Our authentic prop replicas and collectibles are designed by the very same artists who have worked on the three films, so effectively they come straight from Middle-earth."
