An Orc of withered years and many wounds, upon his seamed visage lay records of long strife and harsh labor. Sharkû was a master of the great Wild Wolves, those fell Wargs, whose cunning and savagery few could tame. Long had he dwelt among them, bearing upon his flesh their piercing bites and tearing claws. Yet he endured and, honed by skill and scar, savagely led his pack of unrelenting hunters.
Originally created for the film trilogy, Sharkû held a unique place in Middle-earth. The orc pack leader quickly became a memorable character for audiences around the world. Now, Weta Workshop has brought him to life once again, transforming one of their earliest creations into a finely crafted collectible Lord of the Rings statue.
At Wētā Workshop, passion is the driving force behind their work. To breathe life once more into Sharkû and his viciously wolfish Warg was both a trip down memory lane and a reopening of their creature vault. For this Lord of the Rings statue, Weta sculptor Luke Hawker, who has been part of Wētā Workshop’s Middle-earth story since the very beginning, drew deeply from the original source of inspiration. With great care, he refined every detail - from the rough, tattered skins and pelts to the textures of the Orc’s prosthetics - ensuring they capture the same raw energy that first fueled the designs for the films.
Crafted with authenticity, this miniature Lord of the Rings statue embodies Middle-earth’s history and reflects the dedication to craft that has guided Wētā Workshop for decades.

It takes hundreds of hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new Middle-earth piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment or iconic character, Weta Workshop treats their collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail they bring to their film work.
WETA WORKSHOP
Weta Workshop was instrinsically involved in the design and physical effects manufacture for all three films of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
"Our authentic prop replicas and collectibles are designed by the very same artists who have worked on the three films, so effectively they come straight from Middle-earth."
